This quiz is an exercise in self reflection. There is no grade associated with this, just a scale to provide guidance in where your Intrinsic Inclusion™ journey could begin. Give yourself 1 point for each of the following attributes that you can claim:


  1. I am known for building successful working partnerships with people who have different values, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds. 
  2. I am naturally curious about others who are different than me. I place a high priority on gaining diverse insights into the needs of those I serve (customers, patients, clients, stakeholders). 
  3. I intentionally read and watch diverse electronic and print media sources. 
  4. I am known to champion diverse and inclusive ideas or positions despite dissent or political risk.


INTRINSIC INCLUSION™ SCALE


<1: Scoring a one or less indicates that you have just embarked on the beginning of your diversity and inclusion journey. It also means that you have taken the first step to creating a more inclusive mind and workspace for your company.


2: While scoring a two indicates that you are still in the beginning stages, it could also indicate that you are now aware of your own unconscious bias and in the process of rewiring your thinking patterns.


3: Scoring a three indicates that you are certainly not a beginner, but there is still room for growth and learning. You fully embrace diversity and inclusion, and are actively seeking to learn more about how to create an inclusive welcoming space where everyone is aware of their value.


4: Scoring a four indicates that you are considerably aware of your own unconscious bias and seek to create an inclusive workspace, but you aren’t quite sure how to maintain it.
